The Lonergan Studies Newsletter On-line

The Lonergan Research Institute in Toronto publishes a newsletter that features the latest information regarding Lonergan-related publications and about people and events connected with Lonergan studies worldwide.

Annual subscriptions for the quarterly LSN (published in March, June, September, and December) cost $25 (Can. or US). Send name and address for subscription along with cheque, money order, or credit card information (Visa or Mastercard, exact name, complete number and expiration date) to:

In association with the Lonergan Research Institute, the LWS proudly presents the LSN on-line.

The LSN is the most current source of information in Lonergan Studies. Its regular sections include lists of recently published works, book reviews, dissertations and theses, conferences and courses, current projects, interesting notes on people in Lonergan studies and recent works that might interest Lonergan scholars.

In order to use these files, you have two options:

A)You can download the file to your hard drive and access the file from your own computer.

  • To download the file to your hard drive, right click on one of the links above, chose "Save Link (or Target) As..." and save the file to your specific folder.

B)You can simply access the file directly from our server.

  • To access the file from our server, left click on one of the links above.

We suggest option A), that you first download the file to your hard drive. This will make searching the file much faster. Plus, you can access the LSN off-line.


The LSN on-line is availble as an Adobe Portable Document File (PDF). The PDF file format allows the user to see the LSN as it was originally published. However, you must have the Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. This Reader is a small program that acts as both a plug-in for your browser and a stand alone program. Click on the Get Acrobat Reader icon to the left and follow Adobe's download and installation instructions.

With the Acrobat Reader, you can use the LSN like most word processing files.

  • You can "cut and paste" sections of the LSN, say a bibliographical citation, from the Acrobat Reader to your word processing program.

  • You can do word and phrase searches.

  • You can also print the file (or simply a page) and have your own hardcopy of the LSN.

  • However, you will not be able to alter the appearance of the LSN.
